Educational Background
Bio Sketch
James Celenza is currently director and previously, the Education/Technical Specialist for RICOSH. He was project director and primary trainer for occupational health and safety educational programs under U.S. OSHA New Directions from 1984-86; and principal trainer for U.S. OSHA Susan Harwood training grant on ergonomics 1996-98 and the U.S. OSHA funded National COSH Vulnerable workers project 1999-current.
Mr. Celenza developed and conducted "New Worker" trainings for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service, Refugee Resettlement Program under a grant for the RI Department of Labor. Mr. Celenza was also a trainer on lead hazard mitigation and asbestos abatement for the Asbestos & Environmental Resource Center, Community College of RI, and was a peer reviewer fro EPA's Model Worker Training program on lead abatement. He is a principal trainer of a National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences grant program to train hazardous waste workers and emergency responders under The New England Consortium (TNEC) UMass Lowell since 1990.
