On June 6, 2008 the following SBIR & STTR Workshop for Small Businesses and Entrepreneurs in the Medical Device Industry was held at the Massachusetts Medical Device Development Center. Below please find description and presentation that were presented.
As capital markets scale up and investors seek out bigger returns, medtech entrepreneurs are struggling to find the critical seed funding needed to move their technologies from concept to initial design and testing. Many are turning to federal and state funding sources as a way to bridge the gap between friends and family money and their first round of institutional investment.
