
The University Special Events office provides high-quality planning and support services for more than 1,000 events occurring annually at UMass Lowell.
What We Do
Our staff
- Coordinates major campus happening
- Oversees the Conference Centers at Wannalancit Mill
- Manages scheduling and event services of more than 30,000 square feet of conference rooms, auditoria and function space throughout campus.
USE also serves as the University’s liaison for community groups hosting programs at the university.
Major Campus Events
USE is the central planning entity for Commencement exercises, Fall Open House, New Student Orientation, fundraising and alumni events hosted at the University. These events bring more than 60,000 guests to campus annually.
The Conference Centers at Wannalancit
The majestic Wannalancit Mill features two large meeting/function rooms with several adjacent break-outs spaces for conferences, workshops, dinners and fundraisers in a historic setting. Adjacent to the Lowell National Historical Park and the Paul E. Tsongas Arena, the Wannalancit Mill is accessible to Interstates 93 and 495, and to Route 3.
The USE staff can provide audio-visual and other event support, and can assist with planning activities elsewhere in the city.
UMass Lowell Inn & Conference Center
The Inn & Conference Center offers a variety of function spaces and meeting rooms for your next for your next business meeting, convention or social event. Located just minutes from the intersections of I-495, I-93, and Route 3 in historic downtown Lowell.
