LOWELL -- If the UMass Lowell field hockey team wins the national Division II championship this time, it won't be the Miracle on Turf it was in 2005.
Since winning that surprise NCAA title five years ago, UML coach Shannon Hlebichuk has been building the program toward winning it again. And this could be the year.
The River Hawks take a 19-0-0 record into their regular season finale tomorrow vs. Saint Anselm (7 p.m., Costello Field) and have thoroughly dominated just about every team they've played this season. They've posted 15 shutouts - including nine in a row in one stretch - and have outscored their opponents 93-4.
