Lt. Gov. Tim Murray’s Roundtable
Kicks Off Statewide Series

3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

WHAT:  Massachusetts Lt. Gov. Tim Murray will kickoff a series of “STEM Roundtables” with an initial discussion at UMass Lowell about engineering. UMass Lowell participants, including deans and faculty, will highlight the university’s efforts to grow the state’s science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM)-related work force.

As incoming chairman of Gov. Deval Patrick’s STEM Coordinating Council, Murray will hold several such roundtables around the state, targeting different tech sectors at each. Other members of the Coordinating Council, which includes three state Cabinet secretaries, also will attend.
