At a well-attended ceremony last night, Mass High Tech, the Journal of New England Technology, awarded 17 New England High Tech All-Star awards to individuals from the regional technology community.
The High Tech All-Star program, now in its sixth year, profiles New Englanders who have made significant impacts in their chosen technical fields.
The reception at Boston University’s Photonics Center drew nearly 500 executives to honor the 17 recipients, each from a different category. The categories ranged from biotechnology to software to education to telecommunications equipment.
“It was very warming to see, in the current economic climate, almost 500 technology executives come out to honor 17 amazingly talented people,” said Michael Olivieri, publisher of Mass High Tech. “It’s truly a testament to the strength of New England’s technology community. The program spotlights the region’s most innovative technologists whose achievements are most likely to affect how we work, live or play today and in the future. These individuals help make New England a center of innovation.”
The invitation-only event was co-sponsored by Holland and Knight LLP, Grant Thornton and Babson College.
Dyke Hendrickson, Mass High Tech editor, said, “In New England’s high-tech world, the Mass High Tech All-Stars are those people who set the bar that much higher.”
“It is a pleasure to honor these outstanding members of New England's technology community,” Hendrickson added. “Mass High Tech wishes them further success, success that’s sure to benefit everyone.”
