UMass Lowell vLabs Zones
UMass Lowell vLabs allows students, faculty and staff to access software that would normally only be in computer labs found on-campus. This software can now be accessed anytime from anywhere, including residence halls, libraries, and even from home. You now have access to any tool or application available in an on-campus lab on your Laptop, home PC, and even your tablet or smartphone.
Important Upgrade Tip
If you are using a phone or tablet using the VMware Horizon App, you will need to remove all saved sessions by deleting them and re-connect to the vlabs.uml.edu server. You can do this by pressing and holding on the shortcut (to Learning Commons, for instance) and deleting it. Then click on the servers cloud at the bottom of the screen and reconnect to vLabs.uml.edu. Once this is done, you can connect normally and continue to use the new shortcut it recreates.
Select Client Configurations to learn how to configure your device for vLabs.
All labs are equipped with Office 2010 Professional Plus, Acrobat Pro, Web browsers (Chrome, Firefox and IE), Adobe CS6 (Design and Web), Pharos, and Adobe Flash, AIR and Shockwave. Certain vLabs have custom software specific to majors or departments.
