Welcome to Hawk Watch

You can watch live video of the university’s resident peregrine falcons - our honorary River Hawks - as they mate, hatch and raise their chicks on top of Fox Hall. The female falcon, Merri, was able to find a new mate after her previous one, Mack, died unexpectedly in June of 2014. Learn more about past nesting seasons. Keep in mind the falcons tend to nest in the spring and summer so during the off-season the next box may be empty.

Please be patient upon first loading the cameras as they may take a while to load.

Please Remember

During the nesting period, as the baby falcons mature and eventually leave the nest, please do not call the UMass Lowell Police Department or other emergency services.
If you don’t see the falcons or are concerned for other reasons, do not fret. A dedicated group of staff and volunteers are monitoring the falcons, eggs and eventually the chicks around the clock. They will alert the appropriate authorities when necessary.
Updates are posted on Twitter if something noteworthy happens.
Any questions or concerns should be directed to webcontent@uml.edu. Again, please do not call the UMass Lowell Police Department or other emergency services.
Thank you for your cooperation.
