Composer Ramon Castillo has written for such combinations as clarinet trio with turntable DJ, gamelan with robots and soloists, lyricon with manipulated cheers of frantic Red Sox fans, piano trio with drum set, and accordion with robotic glockenspiel. He is artistic director, composer and performer for the Bleep Blop Electroacoustic Ensemble, and he performs regularly with Gamelan Galak Tika. Dr. Castillo has composed music for the Kronos Quartet, Gamelan Galak TIka, Alea III, Ensemble Robot, The Loud Objects, and various other ensembles and festivals. He has performed with the Kronos Quartet, Signal, Wu Man, and Terry Riley among others.
