Biosketch

Prof. Chandra received the doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Massachusetts Lowell in 1992. She was a member of technical staff in the Teletraffic and System Performance Department of AT&T Bell Laboratories and a senior member of technical staff in the Performance Analysis Department of AT&T Labs from 1994-1998. Nominated by AT&T, Dr. Chandra received the Eta Kappa Nu Outstanding Electrical Engineer Award with honorable mention in 1996. She is the recipient of the National Science Foundation Career Award in 1998 and the first recipient of the Francis Cabot Lowell Young Alumni Award in Engineering (1998). Prof. Chandra directs a research program in the Center for Advanced Computation and Telecommunications. Currently, she serves as Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs in the Francis College of Engineering. She is a senior member of IEEE and member of Acoustical Society of America and Sigma XI scientific research society.
