Resources for Parents
The following links will help answer any questions you may have about your student's tuition bill:
Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
The same laws that give parents and students access to and control over a child’s educational records during elementary and high school transfer ownership to the student at the college level. According to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), also known as the Buckley Amendment, college students are considered responsible adults and are allowed to determine who will receive information about them.
Under this law, parents who want to view a student’s tuition bill must do so through UShare.
Through UShare, a student may grant “guest” access to their account information. The student can choose to allow access to viewing a bill, paying a bill, 1098-T, course selection, health insurance waiver/enrollment form, Financial Aid awards or their “to do” list.
