Institutional Compliance

The Office of Institutional Compliance (OIC) objectives are accomplished by developing and implementing policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements, informing researchers of the requirements, and working closely with faculty, staff, and students who conduct research or activities that are regulated in order to further the mission of UMass Lowell and maintain institutional compliance.

The information included on this website covers research activities at UMass Lowell related to animal care and use, human subjects, biosafety, conflicts of interest, and export controls. The navigation bars are set up by topic to direct you to the information, instructions, or forms you need related to each of these major topics. We have tried to create a one-stop shop for all your compliance needs!

Training is available for all of the Research topics in the Institutional Compliance Office. To view the training guidelines and requirements, navigate to the Research topic and select Training Information.
