UMass Lowell Chancellor Marty Meehan signs the Merrimack Valley Commonwealth Compact.

The mission of Equal Opportunity and Outreach is to provide consultation to the campus community on the implementation of best practices in diversity and inclusion as related to workforce planning and management. This includes recruitment, outreach with minority communities, a variety of intake services and monitoring compliance programs.

UMass Lowell and other partners founded the Merrimack Valley Commonwealth Compact on November 10, 2010. 

All regional employers are invited to sign the pledge and join the Commonwealth Compact, an initiative to make Massachusetts - and our region - a location of choice for employees of color. Regional employers: please contact us to learn more about the new Merrimack Valley initiative.

The event is designed to facilitate opportunities for networking and collaboration throughout the day.

12:30-1:45 p.m. Keynote speaker: Benefits of diverse talent; luncheon provided for employer representatives
2-5 p.m. Career Fair – Opportunity to meet job seekers, promote organization and job openings
3-4 p.m. Panel Discussion – Best employment practices; light snacks for all
