On Oct. 1, UMass Lowell students, faculty and staff are invited to explore Lowell’s restaurants, shops and attractions during Welcome Back Night in downtown Lowell. The event will showcase all the city has to offer and fuel its growth as a college town.
For the past four years, UMass Lowell has been named to the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. UMass Lowell serves the public through an array of activities that link its resources to people, organizations, industry, institutions and agencies beyond the campus, while bringing the benefits of engagement to students, faculty and staff.
A group of UMass Lowell students lent a helping hand to the community, volunteering their time at Habitat for Humanity to put the finishing touches on new homes for four families in Lowell.
Last year, UMass Lowell academic and non-academic service in the community totaled over 100,000 hours of local and global outreach.
