The UMass Lowell Intramural Program encourages the lifelong pursuit of healthier and happier lives through recreational sports and fitness activities. We offer fun, competitive, and diverse sports aimed to develop our participant’s overall well being. Our goal is to build the character of our participants and improve their leadership skills. Equality, integrity, and sportsmanship are the main values we embrace to help connect and grow the UMass Lowell community.
The Intramural Cup is a tradition that started in 2006 and was developed to encourage teams and individuals to participate in as many intramural activities as possible. In order to be eligible teams must maintain the same team name for each league and tournament they register for throughout the year.
Intramural Cup Point System
Teams will accumulate points for each tournament/league they play in, as well as, gain extra points depending where they finish at the end of the season. For individual tournaments players can give any points accumulated to their respective team(s).
At the conclusion of each academic year, the team with the most points will have their team name engraved on the Intramural Cup Trophy, their picture in the Campus Recreation Calendar, as well as, have custom intramural champion jackets designed. For more information on the Intramural Cup point system, contact Meghan_Flynn@uml.edu
