The University of Massachusetts Lowell has developed a self-study as part of our 10-year re-accreditation by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). The self-study was prepared by a committee of faculty, staff, administrators and students, appointed under the leadership of Provost Ahmed Abdelal, with consultation from Executive Vice Chancellor Jacqueline Moloney. The committee was chaired by Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education, Charlotte Mandell and Associate Dean of the College of Health Sciences, Susan Houde.
The accreditation process is one important way in which we evaluate our strengths and our challenges. This website contains comprehensive information about the two-year process of self-study, as well as the final report to NEASC. We hope that you find it to be a valuable window on our achievements, our challenges, and our plans for the future.

NEASC Evaluation Visit - Open Campus Meetings
The University of Massachusetts Lowell will undergo a comprehensive evaluation visit October 6-9, 2013, by a team representing the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.
For the past year and a half, the University has been engaged in a process of self-study, addressing the Commission’s Standards for Accreditation. An evaluation team will visit the institution to gather evidence that the self-study is thorough and accurate. The team will recommend to the Commission a continuing status for the institution. Following a review process, the Commission itself will take the final action.
As part of this visit we have scheduled open campus meetings for students and for faculty and staff. You are invited to attend one of these sessions that may work for your schedule.
