Why Live Here?
The Commonwealth Honors House is on North Campus, with classes just steps away. Each room has its own sink, so there's no excuse for dirty dishes to pile up! Starting fall 2013, Eames Hall will be available only to freshman students in the Honors Program.
Where can I eat?
The Southwick Food Court is across the street--when it's chilly you can take a tunnel running beneath University Avenue.
Getting Around and Parking:
There is a residents-only lot adjacent building, plus the campus transportation stops are right in front of the building.
Did you know?
91.5 FM WUML, UMass Lowell's student-run radio station, is located in the basement of the Lydon Library, which is attached to Eames Hall. The station reaches 2.2 million listeners and broadcasts everything from punk rock to traditional Cambodian music.
"Eames Hall is an awesome place to live! For one, there's the convenience of being on north campus. There are tunnels to classes and food so we don't have to freeze during the winter. We have lots of fun here (especially on the 4th floor). I know I'll be back in Eames next year." - Marc (Freshmen - Commonwealth Honors Student)
"This residence hall for north majors is definitely the best place to live if you want to focus on your studies. Also it is a smaller hall so you get to know all the people better and there is more of a sense of community." - Tyler (Sophomore - Commonwealth Honors Student)
"The shuttle buses stop right in front of the building, allowing easy access to the other campuses. Lydon Library and Alumni Hall, as well as the media centers and the food court are all accessible via tunnel, putting academic resources, on-campus events, and (of course) food, very close at hand. As an honors student, having the Honors Office so close by is also helpful, as is the fact that Eames is the Honors House." - Daniel (Freshmen - Commonwealth Honors Student)
