Scott Fusco, a member of the 1984 and 1988 U.S. Olympic Hockey Teams, will be one of approximately 15 local hockey Olympians who will play the USA Warriors in the American Hockey Heroes Challenge, a fundraiser at the Tsongas Center at UMass Lowell on Wednesday, April 9.

The USA Warriors use ice hockey for the physical and mental rehabilitation of combat-wounded and service-disabled military members and veterans. The program has two teams, one standing and one on sleds. The standing team will play the local Olympians at 7:30 p.m. and the sled team will play an intrasquad scrimmage prior to the standing game, starting at 6 p.m.

Tickets to the event are $8. Family Fun Night tickets, which include early entry (5 p.m.) and an autograph session with the Olympians, are $18. They can be purchased at the Tsongas Center Box Office, at www.TsongasCenter.com or by calling 866-722-8780.

Net proceeds of the event will support One Fund Boston, the Travis Roy Foundation and the USA Warriors Ice Hockey Program.
