Dr. Yuyu Sun received his Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry and Physics from Fudan University, Shanghai, China in 1998. After working as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California Davis, he joined the Human Ecology Department of the University of Texas at Austin in 2003 as an Assistant Professor. In 2007, Dr. Sun joined the Biomedical Engineering Program of the University of South Dakota as an Associate Professor. In 2012, Dr. Sun became an Associate Professor of the Chemistry Department at UMass Lowell. Dr. Sun’s research interests include functional polymers, antimicrobial and biofilm-controlling polymeric biomaterials; drug delivery, and bioadhesives. His research is primarily funded by the NIH and CDC.
