Much of the Center's current research projects are being sponsored by the National Institutes of Justice - Crime, Violence and Victimization Research Division of the U.S. Department of Justice; and the U.S. Department of Defense.

The Center is actively seeking partners and sponsors (public and private) for a wide range of potential initiatives, particularly involving behavioral and social science analysis on topics such as: 

  • terrorist radicalization and psychology
  • organized crime networks’ use of technology
  • ethical dimensions of counterterrorism strategies
  • black market proliferation of WMD materials
  • enabling environments for terrorism and insurgency
  • organizational behavior among terrorist and criminal networks
