OfficeMax to Replace W.B. Mason on May 12th

The Procurement Office is pleased to announce that we will welcome OfficeMax to the BuyWays site on Monday, May 12. OfficeMax is one of the largest contract stationers in the United States with 32 distribution centers strategically placed across the U.S. They will replace W.B. Mason in BuyWays as our one-stop shop for office supplies and paper.  

Friday, May 9th will be the last day to place W.B. Mason orders.

Please join us on Friday, May 9 to meet Dennis Sullivan, our dedicated OfficeMax sales representative. There will be coffee and pastries and a chance to win an OfficeMax gift basket!

Bring your old W.B. Mason catalog to recycle for an OfficeMax catalog. 

Web-Based Introduction to OfficeMax

On Friday, May 16, OfficeMax will host web-based introduction session from 10-11 a.m. Join us for this introduction right from your computer and learn valuable tips that will save you time and enhance your office supply ordering process. If you are unable to attend at this time, the webinar will be recorded and the link will be posted on the Procurement website within the week.  Please see the meeting details below:

Other Recent Additions to BuyWays

The Procurement Office is also pleased to welcome B&H Photo and McMaster Carr to the BuyWays site. B&H carries a wide array of Photo, Video and Pro-Audio and McMaster Carr carries over 555,000 maintenance, repair and operations materials and supplies.

Managed Travel Program Announced

The UMass Lowell Purchasing Office, working in conjunction with the UMass System Office and other campuses, is pleased to announce a new travel initiative that will provide new resources to the UMass Lowell community for their travel needs. 

These new resources will include an online booking tool and a traditional travel agency to assist with your travel bookings in the future. The online booking tool known as Egencia is the corporate arm of Expedia.com, and will be recommended for basic domestic travel bookings.

The traditional agency known as the Travel Collaborative will bring a high level of service to international travelers and some of the more complex domestic trips.

All potential travelers are encouraged to create a profile in advance of any anticipated travel to facilitate the booking process once the services are needed. Travelers with approved profiles may also designate a Travel Arranger to book on their behalf.

All of this will be accessible by logging into BuyWays. At the bottom of the catalog section click the "Services" button and select the second link for "External Supplier Page" (see example below). This information is also available on the UMass President's Office UMass Connect travel website.
