Reception to be Held for Lowell’s Women Working Wonders Fund

When:  Tuesday, March 28, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Where: Whistler House Museum of Art, Lowell

There will be a reception for the sixth annual “City Lives” project, honoring Lowell’s Women Working Wonders Fund. Begun in the spring of 2000, “City Lives” is an ongoing project that connects UMass Lowell students with citizens of the city. Students interview subjects and write biographical narratives which are collected in a book and distributed at the public reception.
This year City Lives students interviewed some of the founders of Lowell’s “Women Working Wonders Fund,” including Nancy L. Donahue, Nicola Tsongas, Karla Brooks Baehr, Pat Crane, Therese O’Connor, Carol Duncan, Joan Ross, Kay Dole, and Martha Mayo.
The founders of this organization are terrific women, and their stories really show the quality of their character.”
Light refreshments will be served.
