Shangri-La Acrobats Return to Discovery Series

  LOWELL ߝ The University of Massachusetts Lowell Center for the Arts will present a Discovery Series favorite, Shangri-La Acrobats, as part of the 19th annual family performance series, with two shows on Sunday, November 6, 2005.

       The Shangri-La troupe’s acrobatics, combined with the beauty of centuries old tradition, engage audience members of every age.  The acts clearly demonstrate the achievement of perfection through finding harmony between mind and body ߝ an ancient concept in the Orient. Audience members will find themselves amidst feats of balance, explosive Kung-Fu, and vibrant costumes as this troupe makes the impossible look easy. 

       With thrills, comedy and non-stop action, the Shangri-La Acrobats will perform shows at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m..  The one-hour performance is appropriate for children of all ages. Discovery Series shows are held in Durgin Hall, 35 Wilder St. on UML South. Tickets range from $10 to $12 and can be purchased through the Box Office at (978) 934-4444.
