Editorial, The Lowell SunUMass Lowell took another step forward Tuesday in pursuit of academic excellence and a global reputation, breaking ground on a new $80 million Emerging Technologies and Innovation Center that will rise on the corner of VFW Highway and University Avenue in Lowell.
The center will undoubtedly attract world-class researchers and the best and brightest students in the broadening field of nanotechnology and applied sciences. Together, staff and students will study, learn, and make life- and work-changing discoveries for a present and future world. The possibilities are positively staggering.
It's dramatic. It's exciting. And it's here at UMass Lowell.
