UMass Lowell’s third annual Fall Festival combines several campus traditions into one as Reunion Weekend, Homecoming and Family Day all take place October 12 through 14.

In addition to reunions for all classes from years ending in one and six and a Golden Alumni Luncheon for those who graduated in 1951 and earlier, this year’s festival activities include an optional Lowell National Historical Park canal tour for alumni. Saturday evening features the annual Francis Cabot Lowell Awards and Reunion Dinner, at which two alumni from each college, a faculty member, and a staff member are honored for their contributions to the University.

Alumni, students, families, faculty and staff are all invited to participated in Jennifer’s Race, a 5K road race to benefit the Jennifer D’Amour Scholarship Fund. It will start at 10 a.m. More information is available from Scott D’Amour at 508-383-7698.

The River Hawks will play their first hockey game of the season at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12. They will face off against Niagara University, the school at which hockey coach Blaze MacDonald coached before joining Lowell last year.
Family Day activities are centered on South Campus quad from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday. There will be a craft fair and food fest, old time photos, caricature artists, pony rides and a musical concert. Faculty and staff are encouraged to come and bring their families.
