Research Interest

Professor Tello's research interests include technology entrepreneurship and commercialization, managing organizational change, educational leadership and technology-facilitated management education. He has presented papers at numerous regional, national and international conferences on these topics and has published several book chapters and many scholarly journal articles.

Biosketch

Prof. Tello’s current role as Assoc. Vice Chancellor for Entrepreneurship & Economic Development allows him to champion the many innovative and entrepreneurial programs and ventures emerging on the Lowell campus. He is a tenured, associate professor in the Manning School of Business, where he founded the University’s undergraduate  Entrepreneurship program and the interdisciplinary MS in Innovation and Technological Entrepreneurship.  He also serves as Co-Director of the University’s Massachusetts Medical Device Development Center (M2D2), an accelerator program that promotes the growth of med-device startups. Most recently, he launched the University’s DifferenceMaker program, focused on engaging students in innovation and entrepreneurship across academic programs. Currently he is overseeing the development and launch of the University’s Innovation Hub, a 22,000 sq. ft. venture facility that will support  technology startup companies across the greater Lowell region.
