Biosketch

The focus of my research, publication and teaching is Modern French and European Cultural History. My book Enacting Brittany: Tourism and Culture in Provincial France was published by Ashgate in 2012, and my scholarly articles have appeared in French Historical Studies and the Journal of Social History, among other journals. My current book is an edited collection entitled Place and Locality in Modern French History, which will be published by Bloomsbury Academic in 2014.
