Laura D. Barefield is an Associate Professor of English. She specializes in Old and Middle English literature and languages. Her secondary interests lie in Classical Mythology, Women Writers, and Shakespeare. She has published a book, Gender and History in Medieval Romance and Chronicle. She has written several articles on Chaucer and gender in Medieval literature, as well as book reviews in a variety of scholarly journals.
