Civil & Environmental Engineering

Civil engineers plan, design, construct, operate, and maintain facilities and systems that serve the basic needs of society. Students in UMass Lowell’s Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering can earn bachelor's and master's degrees in engineering and doctoral degrees in engineering and chemistry-environmental studies. Graduate-level students may also earn a certificate in Sustainable Infrastructure for Developing Nations.
