Diplomas
As students process across the stage, they will be given a diploma cover. If you submitted your Graduate Clearance Form prior to the deadline, you can collect your diploma from the tents adjacent to the Tsongas Center after the ceremony. Look for signs for your college.
Doctoral students will receive their diplomas on stage during the hooding ceremony.
If you missed the deadline, you can collect your diploma from your college dean's office, or it will be mailed to you, two weeks after the graduation ceremony. Please check with your college dean's office for additional information.
Conferral of a degree occurs when the Registrar finalizes the student's academic record and confirms that all requirements have been satisfied. Participation in the commencement ceremony does not constitute conferral of the degree. Similarly, inclusion of a student's name in such publications as the commencement program does not confirm eligibility for the degree.
In order to ensure correct information on their diplomas:
- Continuing Studies Students: should check their names through the iSiS self-service account. There is a field that will show the name as it will appear on your diploma.
- Master's & Doctoral Candidates: Your name will be listed on your diploma as you indicated on your diploma clearance card.
