UTeach

program overview of uteach

UTeach-Overview UTeach is an undergraduate, teacher preparatory program designed to give science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) majors the opportunity to prepare for a career in teaching. The exploratory courses Step 1 and Step 2 are prerequisites to declaring the STEM teaching minor, which includes core education courses and specialized content courses. Additional math courses are required only for math teacher certification.

Students must also pass MTEL examinations and the teaching practicum (generally last semester of their senior year) before applying for their initial teaching license.
