CLASS helps students make the grade(s)!
The Center for Learning and Academic Support Services (CLASS) gives students the support they need: tutoring, computer and study skills workshops, major and career planning, and more. Each CLASS program sets its own goals and objectives and evaluates its effectiveness annually in an effort to continuously improve the quality of services offered.
Making the transition from high school to college can be challenging for many students. That is why CLASS has developed programs to help students adjust to the demands of heavier course loads and more difficult classes. Program development is guided by the faculty who determines funding priorities and studies program effectiveness.
CLASS was established in 1986 to improve the quality of the student academic experience at UMass Lowell. CLASS has received national attention for its innovative approach to academic support services and for its unique partnership with the UMass Lowell faculty.
